Summer

It has been so long!
I didn't even realize it until i saw that a friend of mine updated on his blog!

I do have been working on a few sketches, but i didn't have the time to scan them and stuff.
When i do, i'll make sure to upload them for you all to see.
I hope it won't take me too long, but i've just been enjoying my lovely vacation!

The End

Well, the end is there.

I did my presentation, and god was it stressful!
But i can say with pride that my presentation went well, and I passed!

So no more Emily or Dreams..
But i'll make sure to keep updating on my work that i'm busy on at the moment (:

Sculpture

Hello there!

I've been working really hard on my sculpture the past days.
And i can say, with a lot of pride, it is finally done!

I find it horrible to know, my year is almost over.
All my hard work for this assigment is coming to an end.
I've learnt a lot, and i'm truely thankful for that.

hi over there!

I've been pretty busy sketching most of my action sheets, turnarounds, etc.
So i guess i'll show you another version of Emily, here she is in her puberty.
And 2 turnarounds i also needed to do, the one for the 15 year old Emily and the grown up one.

Playing with clay!

Hey there!

Been working hard on my assignment last couple of days,
drawing a lot of sketches, trying out some different things for texturing, etc..
and i also started my sculpture for the little Emily!

So here's a picture of my sculpture in progress!

well, it's just filling up until i can dress the character
and bring more detail in it.
But i decided you should get a look at what i was doing for the past days!

And of course, there were sets to be created and other..
Here's one i tried, to see if the colors would work etc.

Compositions

Hello Everyone!

Well, i haven't worked that much on my pitchbook, i've been busy with adjusting my compositions i showed you last time.
Also, we got a new exciting assignment, about 2 fantasy creatures that live together under a form of symbiosis.
It's been a lot of fun trying to get something together, and when i make some progress on this Fantasy Creature, i'll show you!
For now, i guess you have to be happy with a pic of my adjusted compositions.

Busy, busy busy!

 Hello!

i've been working hard on the lay out for my pitch book the last two weeks,
and i think i like the result so far.

The last weeks have been crazy, with a lot things going on, and of course working on this assignment!

Dreams

Well hello!
I guess it's time for a proper introduction of me (and my work).

Last year, i decided i wanted to do something with one of my favourite things to do, drawing.
So after a long time of searching, my eye spotted Syntra Hasselt, and their course Concept Artist.
It's the first year they offer this course, but so far i think they are doing a pretty good job with it.
I've learnt alot this year all thanks to them.
Still, there's nothing like sitting in the sun, drawing from your imagination on a piece of paper!

Well, on with my story and assignment.
It's been a hard job for me to write, since i feel related to it in a lot of ways.

My story 'Dreams' is about Emily, a grown up woman who returns from the funeral of her mother,
with who she never had a real connection.
She falls asleep, and dreams about all the things she had been through with her mom over the years.
She relives everything, every small detail of her childhood, her puberty and the last moments with her mother.
When she awakes from her dream, she realises it's time for forgiveness.

Hi. I’m Leen and i live in Belgium.
I’m studying to become a Concept Artist in Hasselt, at Syntra.
The course has a lot of variety in it, and it’s awesome to do what you love!
